Frequently asked questions - comic and art

I dig your comic.
Thanks! I appreciate it. :)

Your comic is very well drawn.
Thank you! It takes years to get anywhere near good.

Are you an artist by trade?
Not currently. I draw for fun.

How did you learn to draw?
I've always drawn. At 14 I tried drawing Sailor Moon with great success.

How do you become good at drawing?
You practise. A lot. And often. Every day preferably.

I'm making a comic. Any advice?
Yea. Tons. But most importantly: draw it for yourself, not for somebody else. Keeps up your interest in it that way. Draw what you know. If you go to a western high school, don't draw a Japanese one "just because". Learn to draw things you don't know how to draw.

What materials do you use?
For comic: 005 mechanical pencil, Sakura Micron pigma 005 and 01, 08 for panel outlines.
For coloring: Color pencils, markers.
Computer: ACDSee, Photoshop CS, MS Frontpage for website.

How do you color?
Photoshop CS. Light colors. Custom brushes. Tons of flowers. If I use color pencils, I use the exposure function in ACDSee to make the colors brighter and outlines darker.

Will you take a look at my comic?
Certainly.

Can you draw me a picture?
I guess. If I have time. Preferably in color pencil.

Is it okay to send you fanart?
YES!!! Hencewards, young artist! :)

Will you please hurry up with the next episode!
As soon as I'm done with sweeping the floor, taking out the dog, baking bread, doing laundry, other tideous task. If I suddenly disappear from the net for long periods of time, which might happen, I'm probably having computer-related problems.

The episodes are too short!
I know. They feel short. Mind you, they are 20 pages each.

Will you consider publishing?
Yes. I will however not publish with any comic publishers. I will in that case publish myself.

How come you don't have a PayPal donate button?
Because I'm not a beggar? :)
